Day 1

You are welcomed at the airport by one of our staff and taken to a Backpackers hostel in Cape Town. The hostel is close to beautiful white beaches with picturesque views of Table Mountain. When you arrive at the hostel you will meet the other guests and sit around the fire while a traditional South African meal is cooked on the fire.

Day 2

After a good night’s sleep its time to learn how to scuba dive. You will be taken to the diving school where you will have formal lectures as well as tutorials on video. In the afternoons you will practice what you have learnt in only custom made heated dive pool in Cape Town.

Day 4

After 2 days of studying its time to test what you have learnt. Before the final exam, you will have your first sea dive on which qualified instructors will assist you. It is important to note that the course is built on the concept of performance-based learning and is not time based. Students are not forced to progress according to the clock. Instead, they are allowed to progress at their own pace until they demonstrate their water skills with comfort and confidence.

Day 5

Today you will become a qualified PADI Open water diver. A qualified diver will keep an eye on you while you explore the ocean bottom.
